Domboshawa Theological College Students Raise $5,000 for Staff Housing

In a heartening show of dedication, students at Domboshawa Theological College (DTC) recently raised $5,000 towards a new housing project for college staff. This milestone brings DTC closer to purchasing a two-bedroomed flat, which will provide essential accommodation for its faculty. The students proudly presented the funds to Principal Dr. Roy Musasiwa and Academic Dean Dr. Paradzai Nyakuwa in a small ceremony.

An Inspirational Fundraising Effort

The Student Fundraising Committee took charge of the initiative, working tirelessly to rally support from the college community and beyond. Their efforts demonstrate both their commitment to the institution and their understanding of the critical need for stable housing for educators.

Principal Dr. Musasiwa expressed his deep gratitude, sharing the joy felt throughout the college. He said:

We glorify the Lord for His faithfulness and thank the students for their hard work. Gratitude goes to ALL who gave in response to the appeal from the fundraising committee.

A $10,000 Goal in Reach – Community Support Needed

This $5,000 donation brings DTC closer to its $15,000 goal. However, the college still needs an additional $10,000 to fully fund the flat. By securing this housing, DTC aims to improve stability and quality of life for its dedicated staff members.

Dr. Musasiwa encouraged community members to join the effort. Every donation, large or small, will make a difference, helping DTC create a supportive environment for its faculty. This secure housing will also ensure that the college can attract and retain high-quality educators to guide future leaders in theology and ministry.

Students’ Faith in Action

The students’ success in this fundraiser reflects their faith, resilience, and practical commitment to service. Their actions embody the core values DTC teaches: compassion, stewardship, and faith in action. By taking on this project, students have not only contributed to the college but have also demonstrated what can be achieved when a community works together for a worthy cause.

Get Involved and Support the Vision

With this incredible milestone achieved, DTC, UK Trustees now calls upon its broader community for support. Those interested in contributing can visit DTC’s website or contact the college directly. Every gift, large or small, brings the college closer to its goal.
